St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish

"While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. `Take it and eat it', he said: `this is my body.' Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to them. `Drink it, all of you', he said, `this is my blood, which is God's covenant, my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins'."
(Matthew 26: 27-28)

Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers volunteer to assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion. At each Mass, we share the Body and Blood of Christ with our church family just as Jesus did at the Last Supper. Communion of the Sick trained volunteers will bring consecrated bread to those who are unable to attend Mass due to health reasons. To be a Eucharistic Minister you must be an adult practicing Catholic.
A schedule is posted each month to facilitate planning. A reminder of who serves the following week appears in the weekly bulletin. Preference is given as to whether you like to perform this ministry on Saturday or Sunday Mass. Workshops are held periodically for new Mass preparation ministers and those considering these ministries.
