St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish

"While they were eating, Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. `Take it and eat it', he said: `this is my body.' Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, and gave it to them. `Drink it, all of you', he said, `this is my blood, which is God's covenant, my blood poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins'."
(Matthew 26: 27-28)

Mass Preparation
These ministers are responsible for making sure all has been prepared for Mass. This includes unlocking the door, turning off the security, lighting the lights and turning on the heat. They make sure there are sufficient hosts and wine to celebrate the Eucharist. They turn on the microphones and make sure that the people assigned as lectors and Eucharistic Ministers for that Mass are prepared to fulfill their duties. They also assign parishioners to partake in the procession of the gifts. They work behind the scenes to ensure all is ready for our celebration each week
A schedule is posted each month to facilitate planning. A reminder of who serves the following week appears in the weekly bulletin. Preference is given as to whether you like to perform this ministry on Saturday or Sunday Mass. Workshops are held periodically for new Mass preparation ministers and those considering these ministries.
Anyone interested in volunteering for any of these ministries, please contact the office.
